"Doula" (Doo-Lah) is a Greek word which has come to be used for a woman with professional training and both personal and professional experience in childbirth. I provide continuous emotional support, physical comfort, practical assistance and advice through the pain, stress, fatigue, and uncertainty of childbirth and the postpartum period. Attention to the emotional requirements and physical comfort of women during this major life transition has profound long-term benefits for physical and emotional health.
Doulas provide two primary kinds of service: labor support and postpartum.I am also a Baby nurse for overnight baby care.

Physical Support
- Prenatal visit to gather your wants, desires, medical history, etc
- birth plan made for you
- monthly then weekly phone consultation after each caregiver appt.
- Physical support
- Relaxation, Breathing, Tension release
- HypnoBirthing deep relaxation
- Hot /cold packs
- Movement and positioning
- Accupressure
- Labor ball and equipment for comfort
- Environmental comforts
- Massage and touch therapy
- Hydrotherapy, bath/ shower
- Eye contact with verbal coaching
- 2nd stage pushing positions
- Baby bonding at birth
- 2 hrs postpartum support
- first breastfeeding latch and positioning at breast
- 3rd day home visit for breastfeeding when milk comes in
- 4 weeks of postpartum phone consultation and trouble shooting
