My goal is to support, guide and honor each woman's journey as she opens to her pregnancy, labor, birth and motherhood.

As a labor support doula, I provide help before, during, and after the birth.

Before the birth I will:

• Make a home visit to get to know you and your coach and discuss your concerns and plans in the privacy of your home perhaps over a friendly dinner.
• Assist you in making plans for your birth and help you define your priorities and write a birth plan, if you desire.
• Share relaxation, visualization, HypnoBirthing techniques and breathing techniques for an easier labor.
• Provide daytime telephone consultations and 24-hour on-call readiness to support your labor beginning two weeks before your due date. (I also have back-up arrangements with other doulas, in the event that I am unavailable.)

During labor I can:

• Provide support during early labor at home.
• Remain with you throughout all stages of labor and delivery (even in the event of an unexpected outcome, such as a C-section).
• Provide information and encouragement and strive to maintain a calm, peaceful birthing environment.
• Take pictures and/or video of the birth.
• Suggest ways to manage pain and speed labor, through both emotional support (eye contact, verbal reminders, undivided attention, encouragement, etc.) and physical measures (massage, cold / hot packs, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, accupressure, relaxation, movement and positioning, etc.).
• Provide support and reassurance to the birth partner/companion.

After delivery I will:

• Continue to provide support through any postpartum procedures.
• Assist with breastfeeding in the delivery/recovery room.
• Make a postpartum home visit a few days after delivery to discuss the birth, to help further with breastfeeding, and to provide information about newborn care and family adjustments.

a 390.00 deposit to reserve your due date, balance (400) due 4 weeks before Due date. 

I try to make having a doula available for all women who want one.
